Shark Bay Coffee Co. is a rustic café and roastery based on the Mornington Peninsula, serving thoughtfully crafted specialty coffee blends to locals and visitors alike.
BOYOHBOY Studio worked closely with the Shark Bay team to create a bold yet friendly brand identity built entirely in black and white. The reduced colour palette brings clarity and confidence, allowing the illustrated brand imagery and expressive script workmark to take centre stage.
The identity was rolled out across packaging and print, including coffee bean bags, takeaway cups and supporting brand collateral. Clean layouts and considered typography are paired with clever, conversational copy, giving the brand a welcoming and approachable feel without losing its edge.
Grounded in the importance of connection between roasters, baristas and customers, the Shark Bay brand is simple, honest and memorable. Designed to feel familiar, work hard across touchpoints and, most importantly, support a great cup of coffee.
